This Semi-Fitted GAD consists of a hemp french terry outer that is Snappiable and a microfleece or organic bamboo velour inner to keep baby feeling dry. There are no closures on this diaper, so you will need to use a snappi or pins. Some people even like to just lay them inside a snug fitting cover. The Semi-Fitteds have gentle lastin elastic at the legs and back to keep those messes INSIDE the diaper and a buttonhole style pocket opening in the back into which you stuff as many inserts as your baby needs. Semi-Fitted GADs are especially nice for newborns because if you stuff the insert in so that there is a space between the insert and the top of the diaper, you can fold the top of the diaper down. This helps to keep the umbilical cord dry since there is no wet diaper touching that sensitive area. This diaper requires a separate cover and inserts. What I love about this diaper: It is a one-size diaper so it is very economical. Since they are a pocket style you can stuff them with what your baby needs and they will still clean thoroughly and dry fast. We super stuff these at night, cover with the Dancing Bears fleece cover, and wake up with dry sheets every morning. Sizing: 7 - 35 lbs Care Instructions: Shake solids into toilet. Remove insert and spray off any remaining solids. Store in dry pail until wash day. Prewash cold, then wash hot with gentle liquid detergent (use only 1/4 to 1/2 recommended amount.) Rinse twice. Dry on hot in dryer.
